it’s weird i bought like 4 cases of silverware and ever since he moved i noticed like over night half of them went missing than a couple weeks later a bunch of the ones left were again missing. and when i went through his room i didn’t find them (at the time i thought he was a heroin addict but it turned out he was diabetic). so if they are no ware in the house the only question is where did they go? recently its been spoons, although i havnt checked his room. for some reason its the only logical choice that he is stealing them for some reason. but what would be the point they’re a dollar for 4 at the dollar store and he dosnt bring food over to peoples houses or anything? he hasnt stolen anything worth while steeling, mostly my ciggaretes and pens, which pretty much everyone does (if they smoked anyway). idk is this kleptomania or some kind of weird form of it?

What is too high during the honeymoon period of diabetes?
My son is not yet on insulin, he has type 1 diabetes.So far his highest result from his blood test was 16 (were from Canada so the American system for testing is not the same). I’m just wondering what is too high? At what point should i seek help for a high reading? I wasn’t sure what to do so i had him rest and drink water.

Where to begin? I had my son October 23,2007, He induced and born one month early due to severe preeclamysia. I found out I was pregnant again in February. I am due with this baby on November 3, which makes me about 3 months pregnant. I have been having really bad headaches, blurred vision, and high blood pressure readings. Sometimes as high as 147/121. My doctor was on vacation for 2 weeks and his nurse seemed to fluff me off as another worried pregnant person. My blood pressure jumps from high to low in sometimes an hours time. I have a doctors appt. Friday, and I want to know how you feel my doctor should react? Am I a high-risk pregnancy because of my history and current symptoms and how should this problem be handled? Yes you are a high risk pregnancy. I had the same issues with #3 and I was on bed rest for 11 weeks and delivered him at 37 weeks. I was placed on procardia for my high blood pressure and am still on it nine months later. This is serious and is not anything that your doctor should be blowing off. Try to lay on your left side and relax. I know this is difficult with another little one at home but your high blood pressure could cause serious problems with your pregnancy. Avoid salt and caffeine.

I recently read that excessive sweating in children is a symptom of sleep apnea.
My daughter is about 3 and used to sweat really bad as a baby but doesnt anymore.
My son is almost 1 and is the same way. He sweats SO bad while he sleeps, it amazes me that he cant sleep with a blanket even when his skin is cold to the touch. He sleeps with a binki so he doesnt breathe through his mouth all the time. But he fusses all through out the night. I always figured it was because he was hot because he thrashes around while he’s fussing.
Could this be sleep apnea or could I just have hot natured babies?
they can’t regulate their own temperature so if he’s hot it’s because the room or his clothing is making him hot. Same if he’s cold. After 1 they gain this ability so I think that’s why you saw it in your 3 year old as a young baby but not so much now. I’m not saying it can’t be apnea, but just saying be careful to eliminate the obvious first because the risks of SIDS increase dramatically with overheated babies. Maybe he’s fluctuating temperature up and down a lot and that’s why he sweats but feels cold at times when you check him. Their temperature can be felt at the back of the neck and the chest, so be sure you aren’t just checking his arms/hands and they feel cold since that could just be circulation and actually he is very hot/too hot. Anyway, like I said maybe it is sleep apnea – I’d be curious to hear if either parents have it (my husband does terrible and so does his mother so I’d like to look into it myself) and I’m sorry if preaching to the choir but maybe someone else will read this and not overheat their baby thinking it’s possibly a peculiar sleeping condition.

Ive been trying to figure out what happen. This has happened about 3 times in the past 4 years. I don’t feel nausea but my stomach feels like it is being ripped apart and then I vomit. Either during or after I lose complete vision to where everything is black from 5-10 minutes. Someone said it could have been a stroke and i looked up the symptoms on webMD and it either says diabetes or glaucoma or several other things. I dont have insurance so I cant go to the doctor. I just want to know if there is something I have or if it was a temporary thing.

What is an over the counter treatment for constant leg cramps?
I have constant leg cramps/pain while reclining or sitting tests have ruled out cardiovascular or diabetes issues. I read where if you mix honey, apple cider vinegar and calcium lactate with half a glass of water and drink it daily that that helps. Has anyone done that or know of any other otc remedies?
You sound like you are calcium/magnesium deficient. If it was me I would take 2400 mg of calcium and 1000 mg of magnesium daily (get a high quality calcium with Vitamin D). The calcium I buy comes in 600 mg caplets and I take 2 in morning with breakfast and 2 at night before bed. The magnesium I take comes in 250mg doses and so I take 2 in morning with breakfast and 2 at night with dinner.
You might try to do some sunbathing in early morning (7-10am) or late evening (6-8pm) so you are getting plenty of natural vitamin D. Avoid the direct daytime sun as it is too intense. Bathe for 15-120 minutes with as much skin exposed as possible and don’t stay out long enough to burn!

Am I able to take Folic Acid supplements despite me being a male?
I have a home blood pressure monitor and most of the time I check my BP, there seems to be a big gap between my Systolic and Dialostic. The gap usually averages around 55. Thats my pulse pressure.
I am young, and doctors aren’t concerned about this yet, but i want to try and make some changes to try and correct this at a young age.
I was reading online that 5mg Folic Acid is able to reduce pulse pressure over time, so i went out and bought some supplements, but every brand of supplements i picked up for folic acid, said in brackets something along the lines of pregnancy and women.
So my question is, I obviously don’t need to take the supplements to help with pregnancy, but i would like to take it if it can benefit me with my pulse pressure. Can I try it for a while and see how i go? or will it have negative side effects because i’m a male?

Yes, its true that Folic Acid’s most touted benefit is that it helps prevent neurological abnormalities in unborn children (such as spina bifida and ancephaly). However, it would seem safe for men to take, as it is naturally abundant in many fruits and vegetables anyway. I couldn’t say if it would actually help with blood pressure issues, though.

The blood pressure is measured in two values. Systolic( upper) and diastolic (lower). The systolic is the pressure with which the heart contracts and ejects the blood and diastolic is the one when the heart chambers relax and fill with blood.
So, a normal BP for all is 120/80 mm of Hg( mercury). If you have 115mm, then you are very healthy and we recommend that the BP should always be lower than 120/80 for minimizing the risk of any organ damage and heart disease.
You are fine and maintain this BP by regular exercise and stress free life. But also be careful, since you are a girl and girls lose blood in menstruation and therefore their BP can fall. So keep yourself up with iron and fluids. If you ever have symptoms of weak pulse, below 50 BPM, dizziness, fainting etc, have your BP checked, it should never fall below, 90/50mm of Hg.
