I was diagnosed with CHF about 8 years ago. Due to being tired all the time, I recently had a 24hr oximeter test done. It showed that while sleeping my oxygen levels hover around 87% and my heart-rate averaged 47 bpm. However, my oxygen level dropped to 73% a few times and my heart-rate dropped to 25 bpm twice for only a few moments.
My Cardiologist doesn’t feel it’s anything to worry about and says that my heart is doing fine. Then, in the next sentence he talks about a defibrillator.
Can anybody tell me what this oximeter reading might indicate or even if I should be concerned?
